ABOUT NEILL
Neill lives in Cumnock and is the father of four children who all attend the Barony Campus on Auchinleck Road in Cumnock.

He has had a long career in Retail Management just over 38 years, he has now retired from Retail.
​
Moving to Cumnock a few years ago, Neill took a keen interest in the local issues of the town and the surrounding area and became a member of Cumnock Community Council until May 5th 2022 when he was elected to East Ayrshire Council to represent the Cumnock and New Cumnock Ward in the local Elections.

Neill is a member of the National Trust for Scotland and the RHS. He loves walking, gardening and enjoys family time with his children.
MY CAREER...
Neill started in Retail at the age of 16 as a Grocery Assistant for Safeway Foodstores and spent 19 happy years climbing the Retail management ladder. After leaving Safeway in 2004 he became a Store Manager for a few other well known retail names.
During his time in Solihull, Neill was a Conservative Councillor on Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and was also a School Governor of a Nursery and Infant School and Secondary School in Solihull.

He is now the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Councillor for the Cumnock and New Cumnock Ward on East Ayrshire Council following the Local Elections on May 5th 2022.
​
He has now after 38 years retired from retail so he can concentrate on representing his constituents in the Cumnock and New Cumnock Ward.

He is currently the Depute Leader of the Conservative Group

Neill Watts has says a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who voted for him in May.
Neill said, “It was really nice getting to speak to so many local residents over the election campaign and to hear about the important issues affecting us all here in the Cumnock and New Cumnock ward.
“I am extremely grateful to everyone in our local community who put their faith in me and elected me to East Ayrshire Council.”
“As a local resident of Cumnock I care about the future of our community and my promise is to be an active and accessible councillor for everyone across Cumnock, New Cumnock and Ochiltree.
