After receiving complaints from residents living on Auchinleck Road regarding Road Safety and Parking on the Pavement at School drop off and pick up times, at the Auchinleck Road junction with Visions Leisure Centre in November last year, I made a suggestion to Ayrshire Roads Alliance that Bollards be put in place along this stretch of Auchinleck Road.
I can confirm that the Bollards have been ordered and will be hopefully installed before the end of March '23. You can see the plan for the Road Calming Bollards in the attached plan.
"Hopefully this will ease the problem parking at this busy junction including the dangerous bend on Auchinleck Road, which in turn should help with Road Safety concerns held by residents. Ayrshire Roads Alliance have also confirmed to me that they will keep this stretch of Road under review to ensure that all measures to improve Road Safety in this area can be achieved."
