Cllr. Neill Watts Moves Refusal of the Mobile Phone Mast in the Ochiltree Conservation Area.

At the East Ayrshire Council Planning Committee Meeting on the 17th February 2023, I moved the motion to Refuse the planning application by to situate a 20 Metre High Monopole Mobile Phone Mast within the Ochiltree Village Conservation Area.

In moving the motion against the application, I cited the fact of the visual impact within the Conservation Area and that is was completely out of character with the Village.

The Council Officers had recommended the application for approval.

At a vote of the Committee my Motion was carried by 7 to 4 and the Application was REFUSED.
