Today I had the pleasure of attending the East Ayrshire Vibrant Communities 'Communities Conference 2024' with other elected members and the Deputy Provost Claire Leitch.

The day was packed with inspiring speakers, workshops and lot's of networking opportunities allowing attendees to meet like-minded individuals who share their passion for community growth.

It was well attended by community groups from across East Ayrshire and everyone left buzzing with 'new' ideas for their groups.

The event was opened by East Ayrshire Council Chief Executive Eddie Fraser followed by a briefing on the future of East Ayrshire Leisure by it's Chief Officer Anneke Freel.

The Deputy Provost held an open mic session which provided a fantastic discussion session with further speakers from Release Ayrshire and Alliance Scotland. Workshops held across the day included Project Readiness, Preparing for Events, Local Place Planning and Equalities.

The whole day gave was a fantastic way of networking and interacting with groups from across our area well done East Ayrshire Vibrant Communities.
