5 years of Place Based Funding in East Ayrshire...

Today at the CAMPS Hub in Cumnock, we celebrated 5 years of Place Based Funding. It has been an absolute pleasure to see all of the initiatives who received this funding thrive — and as the poem shared today beautifully said, it truly means the world to our communities.

It was incredibly emotional to hear first-hand from amazing community groups like Discover Darvel, Dalmellington Parish Development Trust, Netherthird Community Centre., CrossReach, and Kilmarnock Tennis Club, and listen to them talk about the profound impact that Place Based Funding has had on their projects.

I am glad that East Ayrshire Council remains deeply committed to supporting our local areas, and my fingers are firmly crossed that more funding opportunities come our way in the near future to keep this vital momentum going!
