Yesterday at the launch of the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership Charter, they also launched their Wellbeing for All Participatory Budgeting programme, where local community groups or organisations can apply for a share of £250,000 to support wellbeing initiatives within their area.
Participatory budgeting is a way to distribute funding to projects. In a nutshell, ideas are gathered about how the budget should be spent, and members of the public will vote for which they think are most important. The ideas with the most votes receive funding.
